What anti-malware or antispyware software should I use to partner my AVG Free?

I have AVG Free antivirus in my notebook, what antimalware or antispyware do you recommend I could use to partner my AVG? Is it okay if I add a USB Disk Security? Thanks for anyone who will reply.

Chosen Answer:

Use Malwarebytes.. Dont add anything else or you’ll just be doubling up on your CPU usage and possibly cause problems. Malwarebytes is run manually (Free version) so it wont interfere but is usually more powerful than AVG.. AVG can easily get shut down by some trojans…

Remember, AVG already has a SPYWARE portion to it.. I like Spybot S&D ..but the Tea Timer just KILLS the computer with delays and lag times. It will help you stay clean.. but at a cost.

Malwarebytes (installs but is manual)

I use avg and malwarebytes both do a pretty good job but again any anti virus and anti malware programs have to be updated every day.

Its all a matter of opinion. I use Avast , I have also got superantispyware and Malwarebytes. I recently changed to Comodo firewall which seems fine and I seem to boot up quicker. They are all free for personal use and I have had no trouble with Viruses Trojans Hackers etc. I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly. Hope this helps
